Olive Oil. Massage it in your hair when dry then shampoo as usual. Purchase it at the grocery store. I tried it and it really worked.

What do you mean? You want extra soft hair or your hair is too soft and you can't do anything with it?
If you want extra soft hair, daily use conditioner AND a leave-in conditioner/detangler. Stay away from blow drying, curling irons, perms, towel drying, alcohol based hair products, etc., these will dry and damage your hair.
If you want to put stuff in your hair then I would suggest beer, then lightly shampoo, follow with mayo, and heat dry. Of course wash it out, then follow suggestions above.
If your hair is too soft, try using a setting product ( mouse, gel, etc.) to firm it up a little.
