How long does it take for hair to be trained into a natural wrap?

i was told that if i wrap my hair every night eventually it'll be trained to go in the direction that i chose to wrap it. i've seen it done i just want to know how long before i should expect to see results. if legnth matters at all my hair is a little longer than chin legnth all the way around.

It takes about month of wrapping it everyday before its trained really well. Once its trained, it'll just naturally move in that direction when you began to wrap it and when you comb it down, it will automatically fall in to place. But wrapping your hair in the same direction forever isn't good. It will make one side of hair fuller than the other. So after awhile, wrap it in the opposite direction so it won't thin out on one side.
